The purpose of the Biomedical Engineering Access is to complete the data management requirements of hospitals and ensure they are compliant with local standards, regulations regulatory requirements. It also standardise access to information.
The biomedical engineers, their managers and the hospital administrators are responsible for ensuring password protected access is used in a professional manner as per the hospitals policies and as per the training requirements required by their organisation with respect to servicing and repairing equipment.
BCS do not proactively collect Service Manuals, Technical Information and other material which is/can be used by Biomedical Engineering Departments. The Document Request option will not be used for service manuals. This information is received and uploaded purely at the discretion and on instruction by contracted hospitals and/or their Biomedical Engineering Departments.
The Biomedical Engineers will be responsible for ensuring the correct documentation is been accessed with respect to Make, Model and Software Revision. If there is at any point any doubts about the content they are to contact the Manufacturer/Supplier/Distributor.
The Manufacturer and/or their local representative have the final decision about making this documentation via the CEUML and it will be removed if such a request is received.
